The Japanese National Government will be begin carrying out a National Census on 10th September 2015. Do not miss it!
This survey is aimed at everyone who is living in Japan (including international residents) and it is considered as the country’s most important statistical survey. The survey is conducted once every five years under the Statistics Act, and this will help provide clear information on the country’s population and household status.
The survey applies to anyone or any household who will be residing in Japan (including international residents) as of 1st October 2015.
The results of the survey will help shape the future of the country as the government will be basing their policies (welfare, living environment maintenance, disaster prevention etc.) from the results,
The government will send each household a guide on how to answer the survey via the internet. The submission of survey answers online must be done between 10 Sep – 20 Sep 2015.
If you were unable to successfully answer the survey online, you will receive a survey form by post. You will then have to return your answers by post, or a census investigator will collect the answers from you in person.
