The Ishikawa Japanese Studies Center (IJSC) was opened as a division of the Ishikawa Foundation for International Exchange in 2000 for the purpose of further enriching and developing Ishikawa Prefecture already existent unique international exchange and co-operation project & Japanese language education.

    Nature of Work
Ishikawa Japanese Studies Program
We receive participants of the Ishikawa Japanese Studies Program which allows students to learn Japanese language and culture while doing homestay with a local family in Ishikawa.

Japanese Language Education Seminars
Japanese Education Training Seminar
This seminar provides information and new knowledge from the Japanese educational field to those who want to teach Japanese and those involve in activities with foreigners.

Japanese Education Basics Seminar for those interested in teaching Japanese
This seminar provides information and basic knowledge in Japanese education to those who are interested in teaching Japanese or those who would like to help foreigners who do not understand the language.

Japanese Classes
We conduct Japanese classes with different levels to foreign nationals residing in the Prefecture and the Hokuriku Area.

Japanese Language Education Network
Networking with collaborators and organizations in the fields of Japanese language.

Speech Contests
The Ishikawa Japanese Speech Contest for foreigners is organized with the aim to promote international understandings and friendships.
